Christmas Story, directed by Juha Wuolijoki, was the top-grossing Finnish film of 2007 and was re-released theatrically in 2008 and 2009. The live-action family film has sold to over 120 countries with theatrical releases in several territories including China, Spain, Sweden, Canada, Greece and Norway.
The English-language dub of Christmas Story, produced by Snapper Films LLC in New York, features the voices of Cannes winner, Golden Globe nominee John Turturro (Barton Fink, Transformers, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?), Noah Emmerich (Pride and Glory, The Truman Show, Cop Land) and Emmy award winner Michael Badalucco (The Practice).
The first big Finnish Christmas film has won numerous awards at international festivals, including Best in World Cinema at the 10th Sarasota Film Festival in 2008.
