Snapper Films and Berlin-based Black Forest Films enter into co-operation. The principal photography of the comedy “Father Son and Holy Cow” starts in Poland next summer, with Snapper’s Juha Wuolijoki co-producing.
The heart-warming comedy, helmed by first-timer Radek Wegrzyn and starring Zbigniew Zamachowski (Three Colors: White, The Pianist), recounts the story of a man who returns to his home village only to find out that one of the farm’s new cows oddly resembles his late wife.
“Father, Son and Holy Cow” is produced by the European industry-vet Christoph Hahnheiser (“Baby of Macon” by Peter Greenaway, “The Man From London” by Béla Tarr) from Black Forest Films. The pic is backed by the Finnish Film Foundation.
