The beloved Finnish family hit Ella and Friends has won the top prize at Kryla, the international film festival for children and youth, in Ukraine. In addition, both Ella and Friends features have been sold to Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands.
A family adventure comedy, Ella and Friends, produced by Juha Wuolijoki’s Snapper Films and directed by Taneli Mustonen, has been awarded the top prize for the best film in the festival, at the sixth Kryla film festival in Kiev, Ukraine. In Finland, Ella and Friend has entertained over 100 000 cinema goers. Ella and Friends and the independent sequel Ella and Friends 2, directed by Marko Mäkilaakso, have been sold to Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands. By now, Ella and Friends 2 has gathered more than 90 000 viewers in the Finnish movie theaters.
